Hershey Buttons (Guest Baker : Kim Derryberry)

“Pinterest – turning mild mannered 20 somethings into kindergarten teachers.” -Kim

These are so adorable! She calls them Hershey Buttons. These seem so easy to make and such a cute snack to get your sweet tooth satisfied.

What you need:

  • Pretzel M&Ms
  • Hershey Hugs
  • Pretzel squares
  • Wax paper
  • Cookie Sheet

Alicia: So how do you make these cool things?

Kim: You lay out the pretzels on wax paper on a cookie sheet, and set the Hersheys hugs on top. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Carefully place them in the oven (they like to slide around, so make sure there’s adequate space between each button). It only takes about 2 to 3 minutes to melt the chocolate, so stay and watch them. Pull them out when they look shiny and soft. Then just place the m&ms into the center of each one, and pop them into the fridge to cool. Then pop them off the wax paper and enjoy!

Alicia: These are so cute!

Kim: The best part about them is that you can use different types of m&ms, reeses pieces, or those new york peppermint patty bites. I used the pretzel ones for these, but they work just as well with any others.

So there ya have it! A quick and sweet snack to make at home 🙂
